Mercer County Touch-A-Truck Event Scheduled for Oct. 5

In addition to fire trucks, dozens of other vehicles including ambulances, loaders and garbage trucks will be on display during the family-friendly event.

The 10th annual Touch-A-Truck event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, outside the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton.

Whether looking out from the cab of a massive dump truck, feeling the power of the claw of a tough bulldozer, or getting behind the wheel of a larger-than-life fire engine, Mercer County Improvement Authority’s annual Touch-A-Truck event offers children of all ages an opportunity to experience the vehicles that get the job done.

“Everyone loves this popular event because it turns kids into participants instead of spectators as they get a chance to sit in the driver’s seat of these rigs,” said Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes.
