MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A Trenton man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with a fatal shooting earlier this month in Trenton, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.

Isiah Greene, 32, of Trenton, is charged with murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon and certain persons not to possess a weapon, the prosecutor's office said. He was arrested Aug. 20 following a motor vehicle stop in Bordentown by the New Jersey State Police. The prosecutor's office has filed a motion to detain Greene pending trial.

The arrest stems from a shooting Patch previously reported on Aug. 2, when Trenton police responded to the 300 block of East State Street at approximately 3:37 a.m. for a report of a large disturbance and shots fired. Officers found a man in front of 319 East State Street with a gunshot wound to the neck.
