Mercer Man Convicted Of Sexually Assaulting Child Over 10 Years: Prosecutor
A Mercer County jury convicted Jose Membreno-Aguilar on all 11 counts in the indictment.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A Hamilton man was convicted Tuesday of sexually assaulting a child for over a decade, a Mercer County jury found after a two-week trial.
Jose Membreno-Aguilar, 51, was found guilty on all counts, including 10 counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault and one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey said Wednesday.
The victim testified at trial. Membreno-Aguilar faces sentencing on June 5.

Under New Jersey's Jessica Lunsford Act, which mandates enhanced penalties for those convicted of sexually assaulting children under 13, he is eligible for a minimum of 25 years to life in state prison.
He will also be subject to Megan's Law sex offender registration and parole supervision for life.
