The Friends of the Lawrence Nature Center are planning the biggest Mother Nature Festival ever.  Come and enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of spring!  Also you can experience guided Nature Hikes, a Wildlife show by the Philly Zoo, and live music by Eli the Hawk.  Demonstrations on how to do a Rain Garden, Vermicomposting,   and making a Rain Barrel.

There will be face painting, balloon art, and spin art by Rainbows & Giggles. Phil Duran will show how to make your regular bike into an electric Bike.

Brooms and more brooms—learn how Appalachian Corn Brooms are made.  There will be a series of environmental presentations. And Solar man will be at the LNC again. Hands-on-activities for kids and more! The Friends of the Lawrence Nature Center is encouraging you to ride your bike as transport to this event.

Thanks to Notre Dame High School for allowing LNC visitors to park in their lot during this Event.

The Lawrence Nature Center is at the end of Drexel Avenue and the center is adjacent to the 36 acre Drexel Woods, which has walking trails. Some of the participating groups include the Arbor Day Foundation, the Sierra Club, the Stony-Brook Millstone Watershed Association, Boys and Girls Scouts, 4-H, and many more.

College Students and High School Seniors, this is a great way to earn community service hours; please send an e-mail to quito1820@verizon.net  if you want to participate or to volunteer.

We look forward to spending a fun-filled and successful day with you on May 10th.
