'Music in Weeden Park' Concert Series Begins Tonight

Lawrenceville Main Street’s 2011 Music in Weeden Park concert series begins at 7 p.m. today (Thursday, June 16) at , which is located along Route 206 (Main Street or Lawrence Road) adjacent to the post office at the corner of Craven Lane.

“Since the summer of 2001, we have been filling Weeden Park with the sounds of established regional musicians,” The Lawrenceville Main Street website notes. “Bring friends and family to the park for a relaxing evening – and consider bringing a chair, blanket and picnic too. It's free!”

Local vendors will be on hand each night selling food.

Performing tonight will be Run to Sandy, an indie/pop/rock band from Yardley, Pa., that was formed in 2005.

The Music in Weeden Park concert series runs every Thursday at 7 p.m. from today through Aug. 4. A full schedule of the bands that are to perform can be found on the website.

In case of inclement weather, call (609) 219-9300 after 4 p.m. on the day of the event – a recorded message will be left indicating if that evening's concert is canceled. No message means the concert will proceed as scheduled. Program events are subject to change.
