New Hot Sauce Store Brings The Heat To Lawrence's Quaker Bridge Mall

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — The Asian hot sauce market anticipates a major shortage of Sriracha in the coming months. So, it’s time for hot sauce lovers to look elsewhere.

And the alternative is right here in Lawrenceville. Pepper Palace, a new hot sauce store, recently opened at Quaker Bridge Mall.

The store sells small batches of handcrafted, all-natural hot sauce. There’s a free tasting bar in the store that allows customers to taste the product before buying.

They also sell a variety of hot-food products including salsa, BBQ sauce, wing sauce, seasonings and rubs.

Founded in 1989 by Craig and Tanya Migawa, Pepper Palace operated for eight years in Wisconsin before opening other locations across the country.

Pepper Palace has over 100 locations in the U.S. and Canada.

Lawrenceville store hours are Monday to Thursday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Meanwhile, Huy Fong Inc., one of the largest producers of Sriracha has halted production due to the ongoing chili pepper shortage.

The current shortage is due to severe weather conditions affecting the crop of chilis, reported CNN.
