Obituary: Vincent S. Fairlie, 84
Funeral services will be held for the Lawrence Township resident on Monday, July 16.

Vincent S. Fairlie, 84, of Lawrence Township died peacefully in his sleep Sunday, July 8, at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital.
Born in January 1928 in New York, after completing high school in Johnstown, he joined the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1945. He retired from the Air Force in 1966 settling in Hamilton Square, N.J. He attended and graduated from Mercer County Community College and Trenton State College with a degree in accounting.
He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement in 1986. Mr. Fairlie then worked for the Trenton Times as a distribution supervisor and in later years he was an accountant for H&R Block.
During 20 years of service in the U.S. Army Air Corp and U.S. Air Force, Mr. Fairlie served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
Mr. Fairlie was a communicant and usher of St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church, Hamilton Square, and a Fourth Degree and founding member of the Knight's of Columbus Council #7677.
He was also a member of the United States Air Force Association #293 and the B.P.O.E Lodge #2262, Hamilton. Mr. Fairlie also served as a former Scout Leader for Boy Scout Troop #129.
Predeceased by his beloved wife of 55 years, Almalinda Barile Fairlie, and his sons Andrew, Joseph and Vincent II, Mr. Fairlie is survived by his daughters, Lt. Col. Frances Fairlie Dobinson and her husband Walter Jr. of Hawley, Pa., Col. Catherine A. Fairlie of Waldorf, Md., and Marianne Fairlie of Hamilton, N.J.; his son John P. Fairlie and his wife Susan of Flemington, N.J.; his grandchildren, Walter III, Vincent, William and Robert Dobinson, Michael and Samantha Fairlie and Deanna Moore; his great grandson, Walter Dobinson IV; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin Monday, July 16, 10 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square. Entombment will follow in the Princeton Memorial Park Mausoleum, Robbinsville.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday, July 15, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home.
