PA Scrap Yard Blaze Can Be Smelled In New York City, Officials Say
A fire burning at a Bucks County scrap yard could be smelled as far away as New York City Thursday morning. Did you smell it in New Jersey?

A fire burning at a Morrisville, Pennsylvania scrap yard could be smelled all the way to New York City Thursday morning.
The massive fire started Wednesday night at Sims Metal Management in the 300 block of Steel Road in Morrisville, according to local news reports.
It was declared was under control by about 3 a.m. Thursday, but crews are still working on extinguishing hot spots, according to 6ABC.

The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
Meanwhile, the stench from the blaze was detected as far as 50 miles away. New York City emergency management officials Tweeted about the fire at dawn on Thursday. "Due to emergency personnel operating at a fire in Morrisville, Pennsylvania, residents in NYC may see or smell smoke."
