PARCC Math Results: How Did Lawrence Do?

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ — On Monday, we told you how the Lawrence Public School District fared in the English portion of PARCC testing. Here’s a look at how students in the district fared in math, which was broken up into Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II at the high school level.

Many districts in New Jersey performed in the "Level 4" and "Level 5" areas, which is between the scores of 750 and 850, the latter being a perfect score. Lawrence results are below:

3rd Grade Math: Lawrence Twp, Mercer 754
4th Grade Math: Lawrence Twp, Mercer 743
5th Grade Math: Lawrence Twp, Mercer 745
6th Grade Math: Lawrence Twp, Mercer 750
7th Grade Math: Lawrence Twp, Mercer 753
8th Grade Math: Lawrence Twp, Mercer 737
Algebra I: Lawrence Twp, Mercer 750
Geometry: Lawrence Twp, Mercer 731
Algebra II: Lawrence Twp, Mercer 728

The PARCC tests have been a source of controversy for years, and Gov. Phil Murphy has talked for nearly year about finding replacements for the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers test.
