Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By Vehicle In Mercer Co.: Police

The elderly man was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — An elderly pedestrian died after he was struck by a vehicle in Mercer County on Wednesday evening, Ewing police said.

Around 5:48 p.m. on Wednesday, Ewing Police responded to the intersection of Pennington Road and Somerset Street on reports of a pedestrian crash.

The elderly pedestrian was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.

The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.

The crash is being investigated by Ewing police and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Serious Collision Response Team.
