Person Hit, Killed By Car On Rt. 1 In Lawrence Twp. Wednesday Night

They were hit at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday on Rt. 1, near the Quakerbridge Road overpass and by the entrance to Quakerbridge Mall:

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ — Someone was hit by a car Tuesday night on Rt. 1 in Lawrence Township, according to Lawrence Township Police.

The person was struck at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday on the 3300 block of Rt. 1, right at the Quakerbridge Road overpass and by the entrance to Quakerbridge Mall.

They were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, a 39-year-old Ewing resident, remained the scene. The pedestrian has not been identified and the driver has not been charged.
