The commencement ceremony took place Thursday at the Lions Stadium on campus

MERCER COUNTY, NJ – The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) recently celebrated the Class of 2023 at a commencement ceremony on Thursday at the Lions Stadium on campus.
The celebration was attended by graduation students, their friends and family.
During her commencement speech, TCNJ President Kathryn A. Foster commended the students for their perseverance during the pandemic, especially when the campus was closed during crucial periods of their careers.

She praised and thanked students for their “energy and activism” and for making the campus more “accessible, diverse, inclusive, and sustainable.”
“We hope we have given something in return. We hope that your courses stretched your mind and that you discovered passions and developed skills. We hope you talked deeply with people who are different from you in background and viewpoint. We hope that you contemplated and reflected on your values and convictions. We hope that you found opportunity, confidence, friendship and joy,” Foster said.

“Most of all, and considering all that has happened over the past four years, we hope that TCNJ has been there for you and that we helped you find your uniqueness and sources of comfort and strength.”
TCNJ’s campus is based in Ewing, Mercer County.
