Police Continue Investigation Into Hit-And-Run Accident That Killed Longtime Lawrence Township Man
Ned J. Tobias was riding a bike on Route 40 near Chestnut Avenue in Pleasantville when he was hit by a car and was killed. The car fled.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office continues to ask for the public’s help in solving the case of a hit-and-run accident that killed an Ocean City man and longtime Lawrence Township resident in Pleasantville last year.
Ned J. Tobias, 37, was riding a bike on Route 40 near Chestnut Avenue in Pleasantville at about 5 a.m. on Sept. 12, 2015, when he was struck and killed by a car, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Diane Ruberton said Thursday morning. The vehicle left the scene.
The vehicle involved in the crash is a dark colored SUV that may have damaged its front end and undercarriage in the accident.
