Police Seize 18 Bricks of Heroin, Cash and Cars, Charge Mercer County Man

Dwayne Thomas, 43, was arrested following a traffic stop. A search warrant was subsequently executed at his apartment.

A Trenton man has been charged various possession charges after a two-month long investigation resulted in his arrest and the seizure of 18 bags of heroin, Mercer County Prosecutor Joseph L. Bocchini, Jr. and Trenton Police Director Ernest Parrey, Jr. announced on Friday.

Dwayne Thomas, 43, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of heroin with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a park, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $50,000, cash or bond.

Thomas was arrested following a traffic stop on Thursday around 3:30 p.m. Thomas had one brick of heroin on him, and another seven in the 2000 Ford Taurus he was operating.

Police also seized the vehicle and $2,400 found in the vehicle as drug proceeds.

An additional 10 blocks of heroin and narcotics paraphernalia were subsequently found in Thomas’s apartment following the execution of a search warrant.

A 2011 Lincoln MKX parked at the residence and registered to Thomas was also seized.
