Prescription Drug Take-Back Day In Mercer County April 28
The goal is to help local residents rid their medicine cabinets of unused and easily abused opioid painkillers.

Mercer County Sheriff Jack Kemler will host a National Prescription Drug Take-Back event on Saturday, April 28. The goal is to help local residents rid their medicine cabinets of unused and easily abused opioid painkillers, in addition to any other unneeded prescription pills.
Mercer County residents can bring unused and expired prescription pills to the parking lot across from the Mercer County Administration Building at 640 South Broad Street in Trenton between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Hypodermic needles or liquid solutions will not be accepted.
“Look in your medicine cabinet and gather up any unused or expired medications, especially painkillers,” Kemler said. “Abuse or misuse does not always happen on our streets, sometimes it happens right from your medicine cabinet.”
