Prostitution Ring Busted In Lawrence

Mercer County Prosecutor Joseph L. Bocchini Jr. and Lawrence Township Police Mark Ubry reported that the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force concluded a month-long undercover investigation last week with the execution of search warrants at a spa in Lawrence.

Bocchini stated that during the course of investigation, undercover officers were solicited for sex by women working at JJ Massage Therapy & Spa, 3231 Brunswick Pike, in Lawrence.

On Friday, August 22, officers executed search warrants at the premises and arrested the owner, Yuzhen Li AKA Lena. Another female, identified as Yudan Li AKA Sunny, was also taken into custody without incident. Officers seized $8,326 from the spa along with condoms, bank records and paperwork.

Officers with the prosecutor’s office, the county sheriff’s office, the Hamilton, Lawrence and Trenton police departments, the New Jersey State Police and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, under the command of Sgt. James Francis, conducted the investigation and made the arrests.

Yuzhen Li AKA Lena, age 51, of Flushing, NY, was charged with promoting prostitution and engaging in prostitution, a disorderly persons offense. She was released on a summons pending future court proceedings.

Yudan Li AKA Sunny, age 44, of Flushing, NY, was charged with engaging in prostitution, a disorderly persons offense, and released on a summons pending future court proceedings.
