LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ – The public hearing for the assisted living facility proposed at the historic William Gulick House will now be held in the new year.
Care One Management LLC plans to build an assisted living facility at the historic William Gulick House. The Zoning Board held a special meeting on Nov. 30 to hear the application but ran out of time.
The public hearing will now continue in the new year.

The developers plan to build a 170-bed facility at the corner of Route 206 and Province Line Road. A use variance seeks a permit for constructing a three-story facility that will have 118 private rooms and 26 semi-private rooms.
This is not the first time the application is coming up in front of township officials. The developers and their predecessors, Laurel Construction Management, have been seeking to build the facility on the property since 1997.

The house was built in the 1870s and features later Colonial Revival alterations.
