Residents Rescue Driver From Burning Car In Mercer County
The car was engulfed in flames after crashing into a tree. Hamilton residents who were nearby responded immediately, police said.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Hamilton residents came to the rescue of a man after his car crashed into a tree and was engulfed in flames Wednesday night, police said.
On Wednesday, at 9:51 p.m., Hamilton resident Yvenson Dossous was driving his Honda pilot north on Whitehorse Ham Square Road, when he veered off and struck a tree on the northeast curb, police said.
After crashing into the tree, the car was engulfed in flames. Area residents who heard the crash responded immediately, and pulled Dossous from the burning vehicle, police said.

Dossous suffered burns and injuries as a result of the crash, police said.
Medical personnel from Capital Health and Robert Wood Johnson at Hamilton took Dossous,33, to Capital Health at Fuld.

Hamilton Fire Division responded to the scene and remained for assistance during the investigation, police said.
The crash is being investigated by Officers B. Wood, P. Micharski, and B. Mandelko of the Hamilton Police Traffic Unit.
