Rider University Basketball Player Charged With Weapons, Narcotics Possession

Dimenico Vaughn was arrested in South Windsor, Conn., following a public dispute.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — A Rider University basketball player has been arrested and charged with drug and weapons possession, according to published reports.

Dimencio Vaughn, 20, of New York, was arrested and charged with weapons in a vehicle and possession of a controlled substance while he was in South Windsor, Connecticut, TNH 8 News reports.

He was arrested following a public dispute, and was in possession of a bb gun and a small amount of marijuana, according to nj.com.

Vaugh is a rising sophomore on Rider University’s men’s basketball team. The 6’5,” 210-pounder averaged 4.8 points per game in nine games during the 2016-17 season, according to gobroncs.com. He graduated from Callway High School, and attended two boarding schools before arriving at Rider.
