Rider University Reaches Tentative Deal With Faculty: Report
A tentative three-year contract agreement was reached on Friday, Planet Princeton reports.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — Rider University has reportedly reached a tentative agreement with its faculty on a new three-year contract with classes set to begin on Wednesday.
The university and the union reached a tentative agreement on Friday night, with an official vote from the Rider Board of Trustees set for Sept. 14, Planet Princeton reports. Details of the agreement have not been released.
A contract for the nearly 600 professors, coaches, athletic trainers and librarians reportedly expired on Thursday, Aug. 31. At that time, the sides were reportedly far apart on a deal.

The union contends the university is asking its faculty to give up about $10 million annually to keep the university solvent, according to the university’s proposal posted online.
