School Bus Carrying Children Crashes With UPS Truck In Mercer Co.

Several children ages 11 to 13 were on board when the bus drifted into oncoming traffic and struck a UPS truck, Hamilton Police said.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A school bus carrying several children struck a UPS truck in Hamilton Friday morning, police said.

No injuries were reported, and all children were safely reunited with their guardians.

The crash occurred around 7:52 a.m. at the intersection of Horizon Drive. Several children between the ages of 11 and 13 were aboard the Sheppard school bus at the time, police said.

According to preliminary investigation, the bus was traveling westbound when it drifted into the eastbound lane and struck the UPS truck, which was stopped and waiting to make a left turn onto Horizon Drive.

The crash caused temporary traffic delays while emergency personnel responded and cleared the scene.
