1 Killed In Fatal Accident On Route 295: Police
New Jersey State Police announced that Wednesday morning's accident was fatal.

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — One person was killed in a two-car accident accident on Route 295 north in Hamilton Township Wednesday morning, according to New Jersey State Police. The person's identity has not been revealed, pending notification of next-of-kin.
The accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. and involved a jeep and a car, police said. The driver of the jeep was ejected from their vehicle and was killed. The driver of the car was not injured. No further details from the crash were immediately available.
All lanes of Route 295 at milepost 66.1 in Hamilton Township were closed for about five hours. Earlier in the morning, Lawrence Township police sent out an alert saying police were on the scene of a serious motor vehicle accident on Route 295 north in the area of exits 66 and 67. At that time, firefighters were also on the scene, and rescue operations are underway. Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
