Sheriff: One of Mercer County's Most Wanted Captured Friday Night
Raul Castillo allegedly failed to appear for a pre-indictment hearing on charges of aggravated assault.

A man who has been on Mercer County’s Most Wanted List for about five months was captured on Friday night, Mercer County Sheriff Jack Kemler said.
Raul Castillo, AKA Karilo Lazaro, 48, was captured after an exceedingly active investigation to ascertain his whereabouts. He had allegedly altered his appearance and was working and hiding in North Jersey.
He was captured following a traffic stop near Sullivan Way and Lower Ferry Road, Trenton.

Castillo allegedly failed to appear for a pre-indictment hearing on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon/knowing and purposely causing bodily injury (stabbing) in May 2014.
Castillo also had an outstanding warrant dating from 2008, for resisting arrest and using physical force against a law enforcement officer.

He is currently being held at the Mercer County Correction Center.
He was considered very dangerous and tips were solicited from the public.
“Castillo’s calculated attempts to flee the law were short-lived,” Kemler said. “I am grateful for the persistence of our detectives to apprehend this fugitive and to get him off of our streets.”
