Multiple stretches of Province Line Road are closed until further notice following the powerful storm.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — A powerful storm has forced the closure of multiple segments of Province Line Road due to downed trees and utility wires, with breezy and cold conditions expected to continue through the day.

Province Line Road is closed in multiple stretches following widespread storm damage:

  • Province Line Road is closed in both directions between Route 206 and Princeton Pike due to downed trees and wires.
  • Province Line Road is closed at Rosedale Road due to a downed tree and wires.
  • Province Line Road is closed between Carson Road and Rosedale Road due to downed trees and wires.
  • Province Line Road is closed between Lawrence Road and Princeton Pike due to downed trees and wires.

Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes and avoid the area until further notice.

Wind Gusts

The National Weather Service recorded the following peak wind gusts in Mercer County late Monday night:

  • Trenton Mercer Airport — 58 mph
  • Hopewell Township — 45 mph
  • Ewing — 41 mph
  • Hamilton Township — 40 mph

Forecast

Conditions Tuesday will remain breezy and cold, with partly sunny skies and a high near 40. West winds of 15 to 20 mph are expected, with gusts up to 35 mph. Overnight, skies will gradually clear with a low around 24 and west winds 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday brings mostly sunny skies and a high near 41, with calm winds shifting southwest around 5 mph by afternoon. Wednesday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 26.
