Teen Charged With Murder In Mercer County Shooting Death

A 24-year-old Hamilton man was also charged with unlawful possession of a weapon in the shooting death of a 19-year-old, officials said.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ – Two people, including a teen, have been charged in connection with a shooting death that took place On March 24, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said.

A 17-year-old male from Trenton was charged with murder, attempted murder and multiple weapons offenses. He was taken into custody without incident on March 25, in Hamilton, and is currently lodged at the Middlesex County Youth Detention Center pending a detention hearing.

Nilson Zepeda-Galicia, 24, of Hamilton, is charged with one count of unlawful possession of a weapon. He was charged on Friday evening shortly after the shooting, Onofri said. The prosecutor’s office has filed a motion to detain him pending trial.

Around 10:40 p.m. on March 24, Trenton police received several calls reporting shots fired at 602 Federal Street.

Officers found two men shot near the GT Bar and Lounge. The men were taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where Harold Rosario, 19, of Trenton, was pronounced dead a short time later, Onofri said. The second man, a 28-year-old, remains hospitalized.
