Teen Found With 2 Handguns, Large Capacity Magazine In Lawrence, Charged: PD
The 17-year-old was charged with various weapons offenses and is lodged at Middlesex County Youth Detention Center, police said.
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – A 17-year-old teen from Philadelphia, PA was charged with weapons offenses after authorities found two handguns and a large capacity magazine in his possession, Lawrence Police said.
On Monday afternoon, around 1 p.m., Lawrence Police responded to the 1700 block of Brunswick Pike (area of Haveson Ave) for a report of several juveniles loitering in the area. One of the juveniles was reported to have displayed a handgun, police said.
According to investigation, the group of teens had entered a nearby home and became somewhat uncooperative with police.

Parents and guardians of the juveniles, including the homeowner, were contacted and arrived on-scene, police said. During an on-scene investigation, two handguns including a large-capacity magazine were recovered.
The 17-year-old was arrested and charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon (2nd degree), two counts of an untraceable firearm (2nd degree) and possession of a large capacity magazine (4th degree).

The teen was lodged at Middlesex County Youth Detention Center pending a court hearing.
