The Play's the Thing: Students Study Shakespeare
High school students from throughout New Jersey will visit Lawrence Township to take part in Shakespeare: NJ, a two-day festival being held at Rider University during which they will perform scenes from various plays written by William Shakespeare.

High school students from across the Garden State will converge on Lawrence Township to delve into the world of “The Bard,” as Rider University hosts Shakespeare: NJ.
The two-day festival – during which students will perform scenes from various plays written by William Shakespeare – will take place today, Monday, May 23, and tomorrow, May 24, in the Yvonne Theater on Rider’s main campus in Lawrence.
Dr. Kathleen Pierce, chair of Rider’s Department of Graduate Education, Leadership and Counseling, said the festival not only enables students to explore and interpret Shakespeare’s text, but it also provides students with the opportunity to meet their peers, as well as Rider faculty and staff.
