Tony Award-Winning Actor Honors Nick Pratico On Twitter

Support for Nick Pratico’s family continues to come in, from a Tony-award winning broadway star tweeting his condolences to the Rider University men’s soccer team dedicating its most recent win to his brother. A video of Pratico’s auditioning for theater school using a song from “Dear Evan Hansen” has also surfaced online.
“RIP Nick Pratico,” Ben Platt tweeted. “I wish we could‘ve seen more of your talent and goodness. To anyone feeling lost, you’re not alone. Hold on & keep going.”
The body of Pratico, an aspiring actor, was found across the street from the college on Old Trenton Avenue in West Windsor at around 10 a.m. He had been reported missing on Sept. 20 after he enrolled for classes at Mercer County Community College. His disappearance sparked a month-long search.

He had recently received a scholarship to attend the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts in New York City, starting in January, according to his online obituary.
Platt won numerous awards, including the 2017 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical, for his performance in the title role of “Dear Evan Hansen,” a role he has been credited with originating. A video of Pratico auditioning for school using a song from the show has surfaced online, and can be seen below.

Funeral services for Pratico have been set for Monday Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, from 9 a.m. to noon at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, located at 626 South Olden Avenue in Hamilton, NJ, 08610.
The family will receive friends and family from 9 a.m. to noon followed by the funeral at noon. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home, and interment will be private.
In the meantime, his family continues to struggle with their loss, including Mark Pratico, an assistant coach for the Rider University men’s soccer team. The team dedicated its 2-1 win over Iona on Wednesday to Pratico, according to The Trentonian. Mark Pratico delivered the pre-game speech, telling the team, “My brother loved this program, my brother was a fighter, my brother wasn’t a quitter.”
