St. Francis Medical Associates recently welcomed two new gastroenterologists.
Himanshu P. Desai, MD, comes to St. Francis from Trinity Hospital in Steubenville, Ohio. His special interests include nutrition, gut microbiome, fatty liver disease, irritable bowel disease (IBD), and motility disorders.
Dr. Desai earned his medical degree from Victoria University of Manchester in England and completed his Internal Medicine residency at State University of New York at Stony Brook. He later completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Winthrop University Hospital in New York.

Abdulhadi Quadri, MD, joins St. Francis from practicing at Mary Imogene Basset Medical Center in New York as an attending physician.
Dr. Quadri earned his medical degree from Dow Medical College in Pakistan and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences. He later completed a Gastroenterology fellowship at University of Wisconsin/Sinai Samaritan Medical Center and an advanced fellowship in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee.

His special interests include therapeutic endoscopy, endoscopic bariatric procedures (gastric balloons, endoscopic sleeve and repair for weight regain after bariatric surgery), small bowel enteroscopy, ESD (endoscopic submucosal dissection), ERCP, EUS, and minimally invasive endoscopic treatments for GERD.
