Viewfinder: 'Art Inspired by Poetry'

Lawrenceville Main Street Artists Network hosted its second annual reception and exhibit on Saturday, April 9, at the network’s art gallery at 2683 Main St. (Route 206 or Lawrence Road).

In preparation for the event, over 15 local and regional poets submitted more than 30 original poems and the network’s 27 artists created works based those poems that inspired them.

The artwork was displayed while poets Linda Arntzenius, Enriquieta Carrington, Marvin Cheiten, Mimi Danson, Lois Marie Harrod, Marcus McCarroll, Kathe Palke, Wanda Praisner and Nancy Scott performed live readings of their works. Refreshments and harp music by Cynthia Dixon accompanied the show.
