Vince di Mura, Solo Jazz Piano
The Greater Princeton Steinway Society's last concert of the season, featuring a beloved local artist.

Vince di Mura, the Resident Composer and Musical Director for the Lewis Center of the Arts at Princeton University, will perform a solo concert of jazz piano for The Greater Princeton Steinway Society on Sunday, March 15. His program will feature original music and his interpretations of a wide variety of works ranging from classical to modern pop tunes.
The musicale will take place at 3 p.m. in the Recital Hall at Jacobs Music, 2540 Brunswick Pike (U.S. Route 1), Lawrenceville. A social hour with refreshments and conversation with the pianist will follow his performance.
Mr. di Mura is a veteran jazz pianist, composer, arranger and musical director, having appeared on concert stages throughout North America, Europe, Canada, and Latin America. He is perhaps best known for his arrangements of two cabaret productions, “My Way: A Tribute to the Music of Frank Sinatra,” and “I Left My Heart: A Tribute to Tony Bennett,” which together have had more than 500 performances nationally. He has recently returned from two composer residencies in Italy, where he performed seven concerts including a major event in Casale at which he was honored with membership in the European Arts Association.
The Greater Princeton Steinway Society’s twenty-fifth season has featured six internationally celebrated pianists, of which Mr. di Mura will be the sixth. The Society’s season will conclude with its annual scholarship competition for young pianists ages 7-18 on April 4th, culminating in a Winners Recital on April 26th , both at Jacobs Music. The new annual jazz piano scholarship competition will take place at Jacobs on April 12th.
Founded in 1989, the Steinway Society is dedicated to developing the talent of young piano students. All proceeds from ticket sales help fund scholarship awards for aspiring young pianists.
Steinway Society memberships are $50 per individual or $85 per family and include admission to all performances. Admission for individual musicales is $18 for adults and $10 for full-time students. Tickets may be purchased at the Jacobs Music Recital Hall 30 minutes before each program.
Benefactors contributing $100 and up, and Sponsors contributing $250 or more, also earn admission to all musicales, scholarship competition, and Winners Recital, plus recognition in the concert programs.
