Virtual Lecture On The History Of American Elections In Lawrence

The lecture will focus on the history of US Presidential elections and how New Jersey voted in each of them.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — With the elections just around the corner, towns and counties are offering various programs to raise awareness among voters.

The Lawrence Historical Society is collaborating with the Mercer County Library System to present a virtual lecture on the history of US elections on Oct. 11 and 2 p.m.

"The History of US Presidential Elections and New Jersey" with will feature a lecture by Brian Armstrong.

Armstrong will speak about the history of US Presidential elections and how New Jersey voted in each election. Emphasis will be on all elections beginning 1912 to the present, discussing the candidates, issues, campaigns, and the results.

Armstrong, a Political Science major from American University in Washington, DC, is a collector of US presidential election memorabilia and will show some of his favorite campaign buttons and other items during the presentation.
