Washington Crossing Audubon Society Presents: “Restoring Ecological Relationships within New Jersey’s Forested Ecosystems,” a presentation by Dr. Emile DeVito

Washington Crossing Audubon Society invites you to join us for a free, public presentation at 8 PM on Monday, Sept. 16 by Dr. Emile DeVito, Manager of Science and Stewardship at the New Jersey Conservation Foundation.
In addition to his role in developing and implementing management plans to protect and enhance biological diversity for NJCF's 22,000+ acres of holdings, Dr. DeVito educates government officials, advocacy groups, land trusts, teachers and students on issues regarding forest and wetland function, carbon sequestration, rare plant habitat and stopover needs for migratory songbirds. Dr. DeVito has been described as "one of the state's most active and dedicated environmental advocates," "dynamic and engaging," and "an environmental expert with background knowledge that could make uninformed politicians rethink their positions." In his presentation to WCAS, Dr. DeVito will discuss the short- and long-term threats to biological diversity, and the pathways needed to restore ecological relationships between plants and animals in New Jersey's forested ecosystems.
The program will be held in Stainton Hall on the campus of the Pennington School, 112 W. Delaware Ave., Pennington, NJ. Refreshments are served at 7:30 PM and the talk will begin at 8 PM. Additional information at: www.washingtoncrossingaudubon.org.
