Trash and recycling won't be collected on Monday, Jan. 1.

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ — Lawrence Township municipal offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 1, in observance of New Year’s Day, the township announced. Additionally, trash and recycling won’t be picked up on Monday. Trash will instead be collected on Saturday, Dec. 30. Recycling will be collected on Saturday, Jan. 6.

Overall, there may be delays in trash collection due to the cold weather. Anyone who usually has their trash collected on Thursday or Friday is advised to be patient. Trash may be collected later than usual, but officials assure residents their trash will be collected.

Leaf collection is now complete, and the Lawrence Township Department of Public Works will resume regular brush pick up on Monday, Jan. 1. Residents can’t put brush out at their curb for pickup earlier than the weekend before their designated pickup week.
