Wheelchair-Bound Pedestrian Struck And Killed In Lawrence Township

A pedestrian who was trying to cross Brunswick Pike in a wheelchair was struck and killed Friday, according to the Lawrence Township Police Department.
Andrea D’Agostino, 57, of Lawrence was being wheeled across the street by a female friend when D’Agostino was fatally struck by a Silver Honda accord driven by a 63-year-old man from Morrisville, Pa., police said.
D’Agostino’s friend was admitted to Princeton Medical Center as she sustained a fractured left hip and pelvis.

At 7:55 p.m., police responded to Brunswick Pike southbound, or Business Route 1, and Texas Ave. on a report of a pedestrian that was struck and killed while crossing Brunswick Pike in a wheelchair.
Lawrence EMS treated the driver of the vehicle for a minor injury at the scene and he was released. Paramedics from Capital Health Regional at Fuld responded to assist with treatment. Slackwood Fire Company assisted with lighting and traffic.
