Who's Running For Lawrence Board Of Education In 2018?

A total of 12 candidates are running for four open seats in November's elections.

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ — A total of 12 candidates will run for four open seats on the Lawrence Township Board of Education in November.

Lawrence Township Board of Education President Kevin Van Hise and Board Members Joyce Scott and JoAnn L. Groeger are all running for re-election to their three-year, open seats.

Keva Stewart, Adena Romeo-Ratliff, Jennifer Perry, Heather Camp and Tam Ngo also filed petitions to run for the seats by the deadline, which was Monday, July 30, according to the Mercer County Clerk's Office.

Board Member Dana Drake is running in a special election to fill the term of Max Ramos, who resigned earlier this year. Drake was appointed to the seat in February, according to The Trentonian.

Drake will be challenged by Nicolas Zuluaga, Becky Jo DiPierro and Glenn Collins. The winner will fill the remaining two years of the term.
