Dead Woman Found In NJ Apartment Tuesday, Prosecutor Says

Authorities found the woman during a welfare check in Hamilton.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A woman was found dead inside her Hamilton Township apartment Tuesday morning after officers responding to a welfare check discovered her unresponsive, authorities said.

Officers responded to the first block of Bradford Avenue around 7 a.m. on Tuesday to conduct a welfare check and found the woman, estimated to be between 20 and 30 years old, inside her apartment. She was pronounced dead at the scene, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office said

The cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy. No arrests have been made.

The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Hamilton Police Division are investigating a death.
