The Terraces at Seacrest Village Keeps Resident’s Memory Alive with June Card Challenge
Little Egg Harbor Community Honors June Hillis' Heart, Compassion, and Spirit

June Hillis moved to The Terraces at Seacrest Village in Little Egg Harbor with her husband Ed in 2021. Sadly, Hillis passed away in May. To honor her memory, Seacrest’s Life Enrichment Director Bianca Sutlovich created “June’s June Card Challenge,” where members of the community and staff exchanged greeting cards amongst one another.
The idea was inspired by Hillis’ daughter-in-law, LeeAnn, who challenged her friends and family to send someone a card just to let the recipient know they were being thought of and appreciated. As her loved ones can attest, June would never miss the opportunity to send birthday, anniversary, thank you, get well or “just because” cards to her loved ones, including fellow residents and staff at The Terraces at Seacrest Village.
“June was a vital and beloved member of our community, and she became one of my best friends,” said Sutlovich, who provided the cards to residents and staff. “She was caring, smart, funny, classy and everyone who met her loved her. Every time I write a card to someone, I know she is looking down and sending one of her warm smiles my way. June is so missed, but I am glad we are able to keep her memory alive at The Terraces with these cards.”

Though her husband passed away shortly after the couple moved into The Terraces at Seacrest Village, June quickly became very involved in various activities in the community, forming close friendships with fellow residents and staff. She was a key member of the community’s Resident Welcome Home Committee, which is responsible for greeting new residents and helping them get settled at The Terraces.
Located at 281 Mathistown Road, The Terraces at Seacrest Village is a charming senior living community offering residents an active, worry-free lifestyle in a warm, welcoming environment that includes beautifully appointed apartments, gourmet dining and an engaging mix of programming and activities. They also have access to the services they need, when they need them – including rehab care at Seacrest Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.
