OCEANPORT, NJ — A Veterans Resource Fair is planned to take place in Monmouth County this August.
From 3-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 19, the Board of County Commissioners will host the resource fair at the Fort Athletic Club at 114 Saltzman Avenue in Oceanport.
According to Commissioner Susan M. Kiley, 75 service providers are expected to attend the fair, where representatives will offer resources that include education, legal, housing, transportation, healthcare, support services and Veteran ID cards.
"Attendees are encouraged to register in advance by calling 732-431-7450," said Kiley, who is also the liaison to the Division on Aging, Disabilities and Veterans Services. "Veterans may also pre-register for limited-seating presentations on VA benefits and Vet Centers presented by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs."
