New York has long been a city that has inspired, fascinated, and compelled. Join Sickles On The Road as we visit some of the hidden gems that make this city so unique
Our journey through NYC’s history starts at the NY Historical Society Museum on the Upper West Side where we meet Paul Rush, our licensed NYC guide and take a guided tour through the Museum. Recently renovated, the New-York Historical Society’s museum is the oldest in New York City and predates the founding of the Metropolitan Museum of Art by nearly seventy years. The museum's art holdings are comprised of more than 1.6 million pieces including a world-class collection of Hudson River School paintings. Bird lover’s take note! During our visit you will have the opportunity to see their entire Audubon collection! Enjoy your own time in the museum after the tour or have a coffee at the museum’s Stephen Starr restaurant Caffè Storico.
Next stop is Gracie Mansion, the official residence of NYC mayors. Located on the Upper East Side, this house is a true New York treasure. Our tour includes lunch in the gorgeous ballroom before a guided tour of the entire Mansion. The Mansion is currently not occupied, which means our tours includes the upstairs private residences.
