Lawrence “L.T.” Taylor and Velocity Services Group are working with HABcore Inc., a not-for-profit organization that provides housing for the homeless, to rebuild resident housing ravaged by super-storm Sandy in Keansburg.
Taylor may be famous as a National Football League Hall of Fame linebacker for the New York Giants, but he is also a partner with Velocity Services Group, a restoration and renovation company helping rebuild properties in the area.
According to partner Tim Price, Velocity Services Group specializes in disaster relief, including flood and water damage. They are working to rebuild a 4-unit apartment and 3-bedroom home that housed 9 HABcore residents prior to being destroyed by Sandy. They are also working to rebuild an old summer cottage for HABcore to use as a much needed storage facility.
