Little Silver Interior Designer is First in New Jersey to Earn REGREEN Certification for Environmentally Friendly Design

Jill T. Ryan of Jill Ryan Interiors is the first interior designer in New Jersey to earn REGREEN Trained™ certification, a program that fosters environmentally friendly, safe and healthy living spaces. Through this certification, designers can expertly guide homeowners in the most efficient, natural and non-toxic products and strategies for design and renovation projects.

“Interior design is becoming more environmentally conscious, particularly for homeowners that have allergies or chemical sensitivities,” says Ryan. “This certification enables us to better identify more natural and energy-efficient products and the right team of contractors to fit the needs of each homeowner interested in ‘green’ design. Once the project is completed, we also provide a guide to maintaining these living spaces, including recommending less toxic cleaning products.”

Created through a partnership between the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Foundation and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), REGREEN certification enables professionals to make retrofit decisions that improve home performance and indoor air quality, preserve the environment and save homeowners money.
