LOCAL ORGANIZATION OFFERS HOPE 4 SHORE INCENTIVES FOR FUNDRAISER ‘BADGE HOLDERS’

Eatontown, NJ-based non-profit organization, Providing Hope, has been successfully supporting their local communities affected by Hurricane Sandy.  Providing Hope designed a commemorative beach badge, which donors receive as a way of saying “Thank You” for helping rebuild the lives of Jersey Shore families.   As their fundraising efforts have taken off, and their supporters wear their badges proudly, Providing Hope has partnered with over 80 local businesses to offer discounts to badge holders, in an effort to not only help with the rebuilding efforts but to also support local businesses who were effected by the storm.

“We have always been a local organization focusing on bettering our communities,” said Rosemary Sherman, founder of Providing Hope. “After Superstorm Sandy, there was no question that we would do our part to help. We never expected our Providing Hope badges would be as successful as they are and this has now opened up our opportunities to help even more of our friends and neighbors.”

The organization’s new partnership program, “Hope 4 Shore”, includes a variety of local businesses offering from ten to fifty percent off their regularly priced items. Some of the participating businesses include Red Bank’s Cupcake Magician offering 50% off their products, Asbury Park’s Robert Legere Design featuring a 25% offer, Rumson’s Bio-Balance Fitness and Performance discounting 25% off any monthly membership, Shrewsbury’s Fifth Avenue Salon offering 50% off to new clients, Long Branch’s Tuzzio’s Italian Cuisine offering 10% off food purchases and Eatontown’s popular All Season Diner offering 10% of purchases. These discounts are ideal for anyone who lives and plays along the Jersey Shore.

“Now is the time that we need to support each other with not only helping rebuild our shore, but also supporting our local businesses,” Sherman explained. “This is generally a slow time at the shore, and with the impact of Hurricane Sandy, our small businesses have suffered. We are hoping that these partnerships will help motivate local residents to patron our list of friendly establishments.”
