Beauty abounds on February 23rd, as Sickles On The Road explores the artistic genius of the Wyeth family at the Brandywine River Museum then travel to Longwood to enter the exotic world of orchids! Our day starts at the Brandywine River Museum. Exhibiting American art in a 19th century gristmill, this museum is internationally known for its unparalleled Wyeth collection and its outstanding collection of American illustration, still-life and landscape painting. It’s hard to imagine a more bucolic setting to enjoy art than in this gorgeous museum on the banks of the Brandywine River. Our Three Generation of Wyeths guided tour will leave you with a greater appreciation of this very talented family. Lunch at the Museum overlooking the Brandywine completes the artistic morning. After lunch we head to Longwood Gardens for their annual Orchid Extravaganza.
