Women at high risk for breast cancer usually have a strong family history of the disease or are known to have a mutation in a breast cancer gene. Learn to recognize your risks, understand the clinical management and modalities for surveillance, comprehend risk reduction strategies and understand when to seek genetic counseling and its implications during this program, which features light fare and is presented by Debra Ray, MD, hematology and oncology and Sherry Grumet, MA, MS, Certified Genetic Counselor. Diabetes Self-Management Classes

Learn how to manage your diabetes by attending this four-session diabetes education program focusing on diet, nutrition, glucose monitoring, medications, meal plans, prevention and treatment of diabetes complications, dining out and benefits of exercise. The program is taught by a registered nurse and a registered dietitian/certified diabetes educator and will be held at The Center for Diabetes Education at Monmouth Medical Center in the Maysie Stroock Pavilion located at the corner of Pavilion and Second Avenues, Long Branch.
