Chanticleer, known as the gardeners’ garden, has been called the most romantic, imaginative, and exciting public garden in America. This outstanding garden is a study of textures and forms, where foliage trumps flowers, the gardeners lead the design, and even the drinking fountains are sculptural. It is a garden of pleasure and learning, relaxing yet filled with ideas to take home.
On arrival we take a docent led tour of the gardens and take a rare look inside the estate house. Afterwards, enjoy a picnic lunch in the gardens. After lunch we head back into the garden with Sickles’ garden expert for more in-depth look at Chanticleer’s design. Be inspired by how the gardeners use color, pattern and vignettes to create impact and provoke a reaction. A camera is a must on this visit! Learn, photograph or simply just enjoy visiting one of the finest gardens in North America.
