STATELY HOMES BY-THE-SEA DESIGNER SHOW HOUSE PRESENTS TEA AT THE HARTSHORNE MANSION

     Stately Homes by-the- Sea Designer Show House and The Scout Guide are happy to welcome all to a traditional tea in the Show House Cafe on Tuesday, May 28th from 3-5 PM.   Bestselling author Mary Randolph Carter will sign her latest book “a perfectly kept house is a sign of a misspent life”.  In addition, Allison Sargent of Allison Sargent Events will discuss innovative ideas for decorating your table from a small intimate gathering to a wedding for 300.
As an extra treat, Max Hansen of MaxHansen Caterer will be serving his world-renowned smoked salmon and other delicious goodies.

     Mary Randolph Carter is an author, photographer and longtime creative director for Ralph Lauren.  She wrote “a perfectly kept house…” to illustrate, “how to live creatively with collections, clutter, work, kids, pets, art, etc…and stop worrying about everything being perfectly in its place.”

     Stately Homes by-the-Sea to benefit the Visiting Nurse Association Health Group is open through June 9 at The Hartshorne Mansion, a majestic registered historic home perched on the banks of the Shrewsbury River in Little Silver, New Jersey.

     The Scout Guide began as a labor of love for Charlottesville, VA businesses and has now become a national collection of over 25 city guides capturing the best of local. Geri Roper and Cricket Sampson, editors of the Princeton and The Shore, NJ edition, love living local.  Whether at home or traveling, the small business owners and local artisans from around the area and the country inspire The Scout Guide.

     Stately Homes by-the-Sea is open Tuesday –Sunday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  Along with touring The Hartshorne Mansion and grounds, attendees can round out their day with lunch at the Show House Café and shopping at the Show House designer boutique. There are no refunds and no rain dates for this event.  Please note that the Show House is not handicapped accessible.  Children under the age of 12 will not be admitted.  Additional information on the Show House, events and ticket sales can be found online at www.statelyhomesbythesea.com.
