The Community YMCA is once again offering its Backyard Pool Program for swimming lessons this summer. The Y’s qualified team of swim instructors will travel to private pools to deliver the Y’s nationally recognized swim program to participants of all ages.
Through the Backyard Pool Program, participants are encouraged to enjoy the water, be safe in aquatic environments and have fun, while establishing positive relationships and building confidence through the development of swimming skills. The Y integrates the Y core values – Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility – into an instructional setting.
The Backyard Pool Program is convenient for everyone. Lessons can be scheduled for one-on-one swim instruction or for a group of neighbors. A Pool Host can schedule back-to-back lessons for larger groups or different skill levels.

About The Community YMCA
The Y is a leading nonprofit charity that strengthens communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Community YMCA serves more than 20,000 residents in greater Monmouth County through programs such as: preschool, before and after school care, health and wellness, leadership, arts enrichment, personal and family counseling and summer day camp. With a mission to serve all, more than $1.6 million in reduced and free membership fees and programs is provided annually by the Y to individuals and families in need. This is made possible through the Y’s financial assistance program, funded by generous donors who have joined our cause to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.
