Join in the fun and learn about the Junior League of Monmouth County (JLMC) Thursday, August 15, at Red Restaurant and Lounge in Red Bank from 7-9pm. It’s our last summer social and I hope you can join us for a fun evening of live music, desserts and drink specials. RSVP, and the first drink is on us!
The JLMC is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. We have approximately 300 active and sustaining volunteer members living in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Our members are business owners, executives, accountants, lawyers, health care professionals and stay-at-home mothers. Our mission makes us unique in that we provide training in leadership and organizational development skills, as well as fundraising and other areas. Many of our members serve on other non-profit Boards. We are indeed “women building better communities.” Check us out at http://www.jlmc.org

For 75 years the JLMC has been a catalyst of change in Monmouth County. We have partnered with many organizations throughout the years and several of our programs continue to operate as self-standing entities today. As we work toward fulfilling our vision of becoming Monmouth County’s leader in facilitating girls to become confident young women, we are proud to launch the Girls on the Run (GOTR) program this fall.

If you are interested in making a difference in the lives of girls aged 8-13?; join us in a coaches training on September 5 from 4-8 at our Rumson Head Quarters. This program inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun experience based curriculum, which creatively integrates running. The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness. Training is open to both League and Non-League members and requires no running experience.
I hope to see you at the Last Summer Social at Red on August 15, from 7-9. Membership is open to any woman, age 21 and over, with an interest and commitment to voluntarism. The JLMC’s purposes are exclusively educational and charitable.
Don’t forget to like us on Facebook to stay up to date with the latest JLMC happenings!
Best,
Kelly Ann Boyer
JLMC President 2013-14
