Oceanport Knights U-9 Boys Finish Season at 5-5; Enter Mid-Monmouth Playoffs as a 6 Seed
Mike Murphy's Oceanport Knights U-9 Boys squad finished the regular season with a 36-20 loss to Fair Haven, but ended up with a strong 5-5 record while locking up the 6th seed in this weekend's Mid-Monmouth playoffs at Rebounds.
The U-9 Boys will be butting heads at 1:00 p.m. with a 7-3 Spring Lake/Sea Girt squad that beat them back on January 18 by a score of 24-20.
The U-9 Boys are known for their frenetic style of play and, as the score from their previous game indicates, Spring Lake/Sea Girt better pack a lunch because Murph's boys don't have any quit in them.
